What types of “library materials” will ILL borrow?
ILL will obtain books, audiobooks, videos, and other items typically loaned out by public and academic libraries. Book chapters and articles from journals and magazines are copied and sent directly to the patron.
What types of “library materials” will ILL NOT borrow?
- Materials owned by, and available in, the SUNY Potsdam College Libraries unless they are checked out or lost
- E-books
- Whole journal volume/issues
- Unpublished material
- Note: we can request many items but the following will generally NOT be loaned to us by other libraries:
- Textbooks / Workbooks
- Unique or rare items
- Current best-sellers
- Multi-volume sets
- Reference books
- Genealogical material
