The main floor in Crumb Library is designated for group study. There are desk top computers available in the "Ref Pod" adjacent to the Help Desks, at some of the study tables in the southeast corner, laptops -- signed out from the Circulation Desk or your own -- can access the wireless network in the library. We offer space throughout this floor for groups to work together.
On the second floor of Crumb Library, workspaces are intended for quiet, individual study. There are desk top computers located along the back wall (behind the top of the stairs), around the elevator and along the edges of the stacks. Wifi (W@SP network) is also available for your personal laptop or one signed out from the Circulation Desk. It is quieter if you work away from the stairs as the noise carries up from the main floor.
Room 218 in the southwest corner has four computers and is designated for silent work. This is our quietest space because you can close the door to any noise. Users of this room agree to work without talking, using a cell phone or music devices or anything that makes noise. You can work away from visual distractions of other patrons moving around your space.
We have tried to arrange the spaces in Crumb Library to accommodate all kinds of use and types of users. You can find a space to study that suits your individual needs at any time. Please keep in mind that this is a library -- even in group study area, please be considerate of your fellow students and the noise you are making.
