When classes are not in session or during break times, the Libraries are often closed or on reduced hours so you cannot pick up or return material at the circulation desks.

To Pick-up items:

Please contact circ@potsdam.edu to arrange for an appointment to pick up materials you've requested through ILL, resource sharing, or LaMP.  Even when the building is closed, permanent staff work year-round and are available by appointment for item pick-ups or research assistance.

To Return Items:

There is a book return at each of the College Libraries.  They are available 24/7 and are checked on weekdays.

Crane Library: Free-standing drop box is located beside the Schuette Hall doors on the Crane Complex Plaza.
Crumb Library: Drop slot is built into the angled brick wall on the South (Satterlee Hall) side of the building to the left of the entry doors.

If you are no longer nearby, library materials may also be returned via mail.  It is important to remember to have the package tracked, otherwise you will be held responsible if the package is lost in transit.  Our mailing address is:

For any questions, please contact the Libraries' Circulation Staff at circ@potsdam.edu.  You can also leave a phone message at 315-267-2485.  When we are closed we continue to send our regular notices for overdue items and eventually bills for outstanding items.  If you receive a notice and believe there is an error with your account, please contact the Circulation staff as soon as possible.
