If your books are overdue, please return them as soon as possible. We send notices by email and once we have sent you a second overdue notice, you have a $5 charge. If your books are really overdue, we have sent you a replacement bill. We only wait so long before we give up, assume the books are lost and assess charges.
If you are a SUNY Potsdam student, the charges associated with overdue books, including the replacement bill, are transferred to your student bill and must be paid through Student Accounts. IF YOU GET A BILL, RETURN YOUR BOOKS IMMEDIATELY. ONCE THE COSTS ARE TRANSFERRED, THEY MUST BE PAID. Outstanding charges on your bill will result in a block on your student account.
If you are a community or faculty borrower, these same charges will be applied to your library account and borrowing privileges blocked.
If you have overdue Interlibrary Loans, please return them as soon as possible. Similar charges are made for overdue ILL material but the replacement costs are added to your student bill (or library account as applicable) whenever the lending library sends us a bill.
