If you are off campus, use the library website to link to the database you want to use.  Links on the library website are constructed so that if you are off-campus, an authentication screen will pop up prompting you for your login that will verify you as a SUNY Potsdam user. Use your Campus Computer Account (CCA) and password to log on and you are ready to go.

Just remember that you must use the links on the Library web site in order to be prompted to authenticate. If you just google the name of a proprietary databases (JSTOR for example) you will get the general URL, not our specially constructed link and the database will not recognize you as a member of the SUNY Potsdam community who is entitled to use their product.

If you experience any issues when authenticating, please contact us at library@potsdam.edu so that we can troubleshoot the problem.
